It uses their advanced anti-grav technology to move fly swiftly across the battlefield, and is protected by powerful energy shields. Its energy shields, generated in wing mounts, can combine together with other Wave Serpents so that a formation of vehicles flying in tight formation can resist all but the most powerful attacks. Wave Serpents represent the core of the archetypal Eldar assault force - airborne [[Aspect Warrior]]s disembarking from their fast transports and striking with precision at the flanks of the enemy.³ It is armed with [[twin-linked]] [[Shuriken cannon]]s and [[Shuriken catapult]]s. Some Wave Serpents have been upgraded with additional armaments such as [[Missile Launcher#Eldar|missile launchers]], [[Bright Lance]]s, and [[Starcannon]]s. Wave Serpents can carry up to 12 troops [[Aspect Warrior]]s or [[Guardian]]s at a time, or five [[Wraithguard]]s as an alternative.
