It is set in the Warhammmer 40,000 universe, and the player plays as [[Space Marine Captain|Captain]] [[Titus (Captain)|Titus]], [[Space Marine]] of the [[Ultramarines]] chapter. The game is a third person brawler/shooter, where the character uses his [[bolter]] to engage enemies at a distance until he can get close enough for close quarters fighting, which is where most engagements will be decided.
