The '''Long Fangs''' take the role usually performed by [[Devastator Squad]]s within the [[Space Wolves]] [[Chapter]].

They consist of the older members of a company, wise in their years, and long in the fang (hence the name). It is left to them normally to discern where their heavy weapons fire is most needed, and a squad can split it's fire power between several targets.

The [[Adeptus Mechanicus]] was dismayed that their precious [[STC]] tanks had been modified, but has since approved of the modifications^1b, and other chapters started following suit not long after, retro-fitting some of their [[Predator Destructor | Predator Destructors']] armament with Lascannons. Thus the Annihilator variant had come to pass, and it continues to serve as the main [[Space Marine | Space Marine]] anti-vehicle tank.
