The gene-seed of specific Chapters are more stable than others, also variations in certain Chapter's methods of implantation have resulted in further degredation in genetic stability in some cases. The gene-seed of the [[Ultramarines]] is considered the most stable and thus they are the most preffered source of gene-seed for creating new Space Marine Chapters.
