'''Shoota''' is name for the most popular type of Ork gun. There is no standard design for Shoota - most of them are hand-crafted by [[Mekboy|Mekboys]] and are often customized by their owners, so although it may conform to a general pattern, no two shootas will look the same. A shoota fires either massive bullets or explosive shells, or even a mixture of both. As is the case with most Ork weapons, it is crude but effective weapon. Shootas considered good if they fire a burst of shots at once and make a lot of noize. Noize is important, as many Orks beleive that the louder a weapon is, the better damage and range it has. Orks enjoying shooting often acquire Shootas and form up mobs of Shoota Boys.
