History
Skullkrak invaded the Targus system in 862.M41 at the head of massive force, beginning Waaagh! Skullkrak1a. Among the responding forces was the 3rd Company of the Raven Guard Space Marines, led by Shadow Captain Kayvaan Shrike. After an artillery strike from the Orks shot down their extraction Thunderhawk, Shrike led a guerrilla campaign behind Skullkrak's lines for two years, striking with near impunity at the Orks' most vulnerable points.1b
Skullkrak planned to direct his Waaagh! against the Raven Guard, and thus assaulted a Tomb World in M41, pursuing rumors of ancient weaponry to plunder to be found there. However Skullkrak found legions of Necrons on the world, resulting in the vicious Battle of Fordris. After a bloody struggle, the battle had seemingly turned in the Orks' favour when the tide from the nearby ocean swept in, causing vital components of downed Necrons to sweep out to sea and make regeneration impossible. But this soon proved deadly as the Necrons who did regenerate were able to hide beneath the waves and strike at the Orks at will. The Orks were now forced against a cliff, with the necron-infested sea at their backs, when a Monolith emerged from the waves and obliterated the last of the Orks, including Skullkrak himself.2
