Exo-Armour was the heaviest class of personal armour, developed by the now extinct race, the Squats
Construction
Designed orignially as protection against the vacuum of space and radiation during asteroid mining opperations, Exo-Armour quickly became standard equipment in a number of other hostile environments that Squat's Squats were required to work in, including plasma reactor preasure chambers and chemical storage tanks. However, during the Age of Isolation, the Squats could no longer rely on the protection of the Imperium and so were forced to adapt much of their technology, to create arms to stave off would be aggressors, and so Exo-Armour became a staple part of all Squat military forces.
Constructed in an almost identical fashion to its closest Imperial counterpart, Terminator Armour, Exo-Armour consists of a mobile exo-skeleton with heavy armour plating. The exo-skeleton is powered to carry the enormous weight of the armour, which would otherwise render the wearer immobile, if not crush them to death. Because of these motors, wearers of Exo-Armour are capable of lifting items which a regular man would find impossible and can wield weapons that other find extremely heavy, with great ease.
