Typical examples have dimensions analogous to that of a [[grenade]], but can be larger. When activated, they explode with intense thermal energy, 'melting' the target away. Like all melta-weapons, melta bombs are especially useful for attacking vehicles, buildings and other armoured targets.<sup>{{Fn|1</sup>}}
They are used by being attached to walls, hulls or bulkheads and have a integral timer that can be set for one hour.<sup>{{Fn|2</sup>}}
