Savlar is an Imperial Penal World, a toxic hellhole infamous for its Savlar Chem-Dog regiments.
History
Savlar was once a Mining World notable only for its rich chemical deposits; unfortunately the planet failed in meeting its Imperial Imperial tithes, and so was converted into a penal colony populated by traitors, criminals and Adeptus Arbites troops guarding them. An armed uprising which took place afterwards would force Judge Callistar to form the Chem-Dogs as a response force to put the rebellion down. During the Third War for Armageddon, the Chem-Dogs would be deployed to Armageddon to meet the Imperium's desperate need for more troops.1
