The '''''Vanguard''''' was a [[Dauntless Class Light Cruiser]]. It was assigned to the [[Halemnet Base]] in the [[Cyclops Cluster]] of the [[Gothic Sector]]. In 142.[[M41]], it was destroyed by a long-range [[torpedo]] strike by [[Chaos]] warships in one of the first attacks of the the [[Gothic War]].{{Fn|1}}
