'''The Saga of the Weregeld''' retells the events of the [[Siege of the Jarelphi Palace]], a conflict set in the years of the [[Great Scouring]]. It centres around the "[[Weregeld]]", mysterious and terrible beasts, which were employed by the [[Raven Guard]] during the hundredth day of the siege. To this day, the Saga of the Weregeld is only told in the darkest of nights by the Rune Priests. It is one of the few existing accounts providing evidence of the [[Replicae|experiments ]] Primarch [[Corax]] conducted to rebuilt the Raven Guard after the losses they suffered during the [[Horus Heresy]].{{Fn|3}}
