'''Codex: Sisters of Battle (5th Edition)''' was released as a two-part [[White Dwarf]] Codex in [[White Dwarf 379 380 (US)]], released in August 2011, and [[White Dwarf 380 381 (US)]], released in September 2011. An official note declares it ''Chapter Approved'' as an official Codex for [[Warhammer 40000]], and that it replaces [[Codex: Witch Hunters (3rd Edition)]]^1a. This codex contains a brief history of the [[Adepta Sororitas]] as well as the army list and all the rules necessary to field an army of the Sisters of Battle.
