The [[Abbess of the Adepta Sororitas]] traditionally makes a pilgrimage to San Leor before her inauguration to the post. Sister [[Sabrina]], the most recently elected Abbess, disappeared when she attempted to make the journey in [[M40]].{{Fn|2}}
The planet was invaded by the [[Red Corsairs]] in 799.M41, culminating in the [[San Leor Massacre]]. Nine [[Orders Militant]] of the Adepta Sororitas brought retribution with a counter-attack that annihilated the invading [[Chaos Space Marines]].{{Fn|3}}
