'''Auto Weapons''' are used by the Imperium, generally as an alternative to [[Las Weapons]], as some commanders prefur prefer their enemies to continue to bleed after being hit, whereas las weapons immediatly cauterizes the wound. They are solid slug firing weapons meaning that they are more likely to run out of ammunition in a protracted battle due to the increased size of the ammunition and subsequent reduction in the volume which can be carried. Also, auto weapons cannot recharge like las weapons.
Auto Weapons have, for the most part, been removed from the arsenals of the Imperium due to their similarity to las weapons, except for the Autocannon.
