In 939.[[M41]] when Vendorak was invaded by a tendril of Hive Fleet Leviathan, the planet's moon was destroyed by ships of the [[Ultramarines]], [[Howling Griffons]] and [[Aurora Chapter]]. The moon's explosion sent a shock wave through an asteroid belt near Vendorak and debris from the asteroids crashed down on the planet and killed the [[Tyranid]]s upon it.
