In battles with the [[Daemon Prince]] imprisoned inside the [[Maledictum]], and with renegade [[Chapter Master]] [[Azariah Kyras]], Angelos lost his right eye, his left arm and both his legs{{Fn|3}}{{Fn|4}}.
After defeating Kyras, Angelos's broken body was lifted from the debris by Captain [[Apollo Diomedes]]. His body was later healed (probably Angelos recovered, with extensive the aid of [[augmetics]]) to replace his lost limbs and eye, and Angelos was hailed as the Blood Ravens' new Chapter Master{{Fn|4}}. On [[Graia]], [[Space Marine Captain|Captain]] [[Titus (Captain)|Titus]] of the [[Ultramarines]] was assisted by a company of Blood Ravens, and congratulated them on their courage in the Aurelian Crusade{{Fn|5}}.
