The '''Crimson Sons''' were a group of [[Space Marines]] formed from the remnants of the [[Night Lords|VIIIth Legion]]'s 9th [[Company]]; which was nearly destroyed in pacifying the [[Oxitania]] domain on [[Terra]], during the [[Unification Wars]]. The survivors were then ironically oathbonded to [[Gotha]], Oxitania's former King, who was given the rank of [[Rogue Trader]] by the [[Emperor]], instead of being executed. The Crimson Sons remained in Gotha's service for some time, until they were reunited with their Legion and were later killed while fighting in the [[Dropsite Massacre]].{{Fn|1}}
