During the battle, the renowned armoured siege units of the [[Hammeront IV]] [[Regiment]] under the command of [[Marshal|Grand Marshal]] [[Lourgant]], are wiped out when the army of Daemons overwhelms the Imperial forces.{{Fn|1}} Such is the [[Departmento Munitorum]]’s administrativebacklog that the Hammeront IV’s demise goes unreported, and they are subsequently orderedto the liberation of the Abraxis Citadel on [[Prassium]]. When the Hammeront fail to deploy asordered, the Departmento Munitorum charges the regiment with desertion. They are allposthumously sentenced to death.{{Fn|2}}
