Forrix was once a hero of the Legion and captain of its 1st [[Grand Company]] during the [[Great Crusade]] and the [[Horus Heresy]], while also serving as a member of the [[Trident]], the inner circle of advisors to the [[Primarch]] [[Perturabo]].{{Fn|2}}{{Fn|3a}}{{Fn|4}} During the [[Battle at the Phall system]], Forrix had primary responsibility for planning the Iron Warriors' void attack on the [[Imperial Fists]]' [[Retribution Fleet]] marooned in the [[Phall system]].{{Fn|3b}} Later, Forrix accompanied Perturabo into the [[Eye of Terror]] and led the Iron Warriors during the [[Battle of Iydris]].
