==Background==
The Iron Fists carry [[Storm Shield]]s moulded with a medieval gauntlet{{Fn|2}}.
The Iron Fists were first to develop the missiles with extended range for [[Whirlwind]]. It was during the [[Assault on Hive Vortis]] when they used this type of missiles to turn the short ranged support of the Whirlwind into long range bombardment artillery. However this required the reduction of high explosive carried by each Whirlwind, and that in its turn led to situation when missiles failed to cause sufficient damage to be effective in the bombardment role.{{Fn|3}}
