Brutally efficient at the hit and run tactics favoured by the Legion, he became [[Praetor (Rank)|Shade Captain]] of the 18th Chapter, known as the [[Ashen Claws]] and devised the strategy utilised in the [[Battle of Hell's Anvil]] that established assignment to the XIXth Legion as a death sentence to [[Imperial Army]] units.{{fn|2}}
