Abyssus Edax was originally built for the [[Legio Perennia]], on [[Bronta-Median]], during the [[Horus Heresy]]. Together with other Titans from the combat group Battle Group Astramax , the Abyssus Edax was to be transported, aboard the freighter [[Omnissiax]], to [[Terra]] to strengthen the planet's defenses. During transport, the ship was redirected to the planet [[Callistra Mundi]], and ambushed by the Alpha Legion. A Titan crew from the ranks of The Alpha Legion Sparatoi then captured the Abyssus Edax for the forces of [[Chaos]]. The Titan was then deployed by the Alpha Legion to aid in the conquest of Callistra Mundi.{{Fn|1}}
