Each vexilla is created on [[Terra]],painstakingly fashioned over a periodof one hundred years by the oath-swornartisans of the [[Tower Aquilane]]. Upon theircompletion, these beautiful standardsare borne amidst processions of craftthralls,[[Ministorum]] [[Priest]]s and [[servitor]]s to the [[Auric Eyrie]], wherethey are held upon stasis-podia untilrequired. Some vexillas are purely ritualin purpose, and are carried in processionand parade through the endless leaguesof the [[Imperial Palace]]. Most, however, incorporate potent technologies suitedspecifically for deployment upon the fieldof battle. Those vexillas carried by the veterans of theshield companies typically belong to one ofseveral patterns.
