Overview
Created Believed to be a warped perversion of the ancient Vultarax Stratos-Automata, these foul machines created on Nurgle-dominated Daemon worlds, the . The costin blood sacrifice to create these enginesis significant, and the binding rituals arehazardous in the extreme. Yet their enduringpopularity with the Traitor Legion’s Chaos Lordsensures that Bloat-drones are used ingreat numbers to the war zones in which theDeath Guard fight, and deployed in swarmsthat darken the skies. This is especially truein forces of the 5th Plague Company, with warbands such as the Sons of the Maggot, the Suppurant Sting, and the Smogrot Brotherhood fielding great numbers of FoetidBloat-drones in varying pack strengths andconfigurations.2
The Daemons that possess Foetid Bloatdronesare more aggressive and spitefulthan most Daemons of Nurgle. Some areso wilful that they cannot be entrustedwith ranged weaponry at all, their desireto smash themselves into the enemy ranksall too evident. These rebellious enginesare instead fitted with the macabre devicesknown as Fleshmowers, which tear apart enemies caught within them at close range. Themashed remains of flesh-mower victims makeexcellent fuel for those Bloat-dronesarmed with Plaguespitters or Heavy Blight Launchers, and so the twovariants often form parasitic war packs.2
