It was originally known as the [[Imperial Navy]] '''Corinus Class Grand Cruiser''' '''Undying Valour''' and was created on the [[Forge World]] [[Lashte]] in the [[M34]]. It served in [[Battlefleet]] '''Archon''' until it was captured by the forces of [[Chaos]], in the [[Battle of the Borghesh Channel]] and then taken into the [[Eye of Terror]]. It stayed there for five millennia and became the Solace, after it became corrupted by the power of [[Nurgle]], which made the ship semi-sentient. It was eventually taken by the [[Chaos Lord]] [[Vorx]], commander of the Lords of Silence, who ensures that the corrupted ship is placated with plenty of flesh and blood, in order to prevent the {{PAGENAME}} from turning upon them. Though this does not stop the {{PAGENAME}}, from occasionally growing tentacles in order to attack and devour members of the Warband.{{Fn|1}}
