The Incubi are rather different to most Dark Eldar. They are said to be ever silent, and their black armor is far heavier than anything else used by their raiding forces, and while limiting their mobility it offers protection comparable to that of Space Marine Power Armour. Another interesting aspect of the armour is the Splinter Pistol incorporated in the helm. Neurally-linked, it can be fired by thought alone and so it gives the Incubi the advantage of a ranged weapon while having both hands free to wield their deadly power glaives known as Punishers.
The head-mounted pistol and helmet design is quite similiar to that used by the Striking Scorpions who are Warrior s of the Aspect WarriorsEldar.
The Incubi sect is led by one known as the Dark Father. His identity is not known for certain, but it is possible that he is Arhra the Fallen Phoenix, Father of Scorpions. Indeed, the Eldar refer to Incubi as 'Fallen Warriors', and tell of how their Dark Father "turned from the light to the Shadows", a close paraphrasing of a sentence referring to Arhra's history in the Eldar Codex. The Scorpion-like stylings on Incubi armour, as well as the similarities in general to the Striking Scorpions Aspect, are further clues. But it's impossible to be certain, and it may be that Arhra is no longer the Dark Father given the Incubi tradition to duel for positions of leadership, with the victorius Incubi donning the armor of the loser.
