Despite his death, the Kabal went on to inflict massive casualties on the Delta Company and forced them to retreat. Without the [[Guardsmen]] to defend the Hive, its population was harvested by the Kabal and {{PAGENAME}}Witherchill's body was recovered and placed within a [[Haemonculi]] regeneration tank.{{Fn|1}}
