Sword Brethren are the only Black Templars allowed to use [[Terminator Armour]] and when a Castellan or Marshal is killed, the new one will be picked from the Sword Brethren.
==Gaming==
Sword Brethren are exempt from training Neophytes, so Neophytes cannot be included in a Sword Brethren unit.
As Sword Brethren (veterans) squads, they must be given the "Furious Charge" skill, the "Counter-attack" skill, or the "Infiltrate" skill. As Sword Brethren (Terminator) squads, they may be given the "Furious Charge" skill or the "Tank Hunters" skill, and they may always "Deep Strike".
Sword Brethren (Terminator) are allowed to be used as a command squad, Sword Brethren (veterans) squads are not.
