'''{{PAGENAME}}Kalimos''' was the [[Space Marine Captain|Captain]] of the [[Emperor's Children]] [[Space Marine Legion|Legion]]'s 17th [[Company]], during the [[Horus Heresy]] and like most of its members he had embraced mutilation, hedonism, and body-modification. Shortly after the [[Dropsite Massacre]], {{PAGENAME}} Kalimos was among the Legion's [[Brotherhood of the Phoenix]], who came to a meeting called by Captain [[Lucius (Emperor's Children)|Lucius]] and were convinced by him that a [[Daemon]] has possessed their [[Primarch]] [[Fulgrim]]. Incensed at the idea{{fn|1a}}, the Brotherhood devised a plan to ambush the Primarch aboard the [[Strike Cruiser]] [[Andronicus]], when Fulgrim was due to visit the lab of [[Chief Apothecary]] [[Fabius]]{{fn|1b}}, and then find a way to force the Daemon to leave his body{{fn|1a}}. However during the ambush, Fulgrim proved himself to be a deadly opponent, despite being vastly outnumbered and seriously wounded {{PAGENAME}}Kalimos. Though the ambush was successful{{fn|1c}}, {{PAGENAME}}Kalimos's body had to be biologically restored by Fabius and Fulgrim was tortured to free him of the Daemon's control. However the Primarch quickly revealed that his capture had been a ruse and easily freed himself{{fn|1d}}. The Primarch admitted that while his body had been controlled by a Daemon, which happened after Fulgrim's shock at killing his brother [[Ferrus Manus]], this had allowed him to come to a better understanding of the powers given to him by his worship of [[Slaanesh]]. This later allowed the Primarch to retake control of his body and Fulgrim stated that he was now ready, to share the secrets he had learned with his Legion.{{fn|1f}}
