During the '''Battle of the Sandsea''', the '''[[Cadian]] 1652nd [[Armoured Regiment]]''' was tasked with breaking the Necron's line. However while attacking the Necron, they themselves came under attack from a wing of [[Doom Scythe]]s and the Regiment would have been destroyed, had its [[Imperial Guard Commander|Commander]] not called for reinforcements. They arrived in the form of a group of [[Hydra Flak Tank]]s, which made short work of the Doom Scythes and allowed the Cadian 1652nd to finish to finish their task and led to the Astra Millitarum's victory over the Necron.{{Fn|1}}
