History
Belisarius Cawl discovered that Amontep II contained the material known as Blackstone, sometime after the Great Rift's creation. After the discovery, Cawl ordered the Magos Dominus Dentrex Ologostion to begin excavating PAGENAMEAmontep II's surface to uncover the Blackstone, but several Obelisks were unearthed during the process. Soon afterwards Amontep II was revealed to have been built upon a Necron Tomb World, when hordes of the Xenos emerged to attack Ologostion's Adeptus Mechanicus forces.1 What begins as an isolated conflictbetween the Adeptus Mechanicus and theNecrons on the quarry world of AmontepII becomes a galaxy-wide war. Across theplanets of both the Adeptus Mechanicusand the Knights, Necron presence issuddenly and startlingly revealed. Themountains of Auros IV rumble withtectonic tremors as Necron tombs awakenbeneath the surface of House Vulker’sfiefdoms. On Voltoris, the recently healedHigh King Tybalt recalls swathes of hishouse’s Knights from the Eastern Fringe, jeopardising their chances of winning anongoing war against the Tau Empire tocounter an emergent Necron threat uponTerryn’s home world.
