The '''Pilum Sentry Cannon''' is a variant of the [[Assault Cannon]] with a 360 degree of fire and sophisticated autosenses coupled to complex identification systems to pick out charging infantry and eliminate them. As ammunition is limited, it fires in short, sharp bursts only at close range. The sensors are programmed to identify allies by chapter symbol, army badge, or other marking to prevent friendly fire.
Along with the Tornado Barrage Launcher it was excavated from the asteroial rubble of [[Adantris V]] and sanction by the [[Adeptus Mechanicus]]. {{Fn|1}}
