Like his commander, Vioss eventually fell to [[Chaos]] worship and by the [[Horus Heresy]], he had become mutated.{{Fn|1b}} During the trap set by Typhon in the [[Warp]] to mutate the Death Guard fully to [[Nurgle]]'s embrace, Vioss was one of his officers who was in on the plan and helped bring it about.{{Fn|2}}
