'''Memnon''' was the [[Space Marine Captain|Captain]] of the [[White Consuls]] [[Chapter]]'s Fourth [[Company]] when the [[Thirteenth Black Crusade]] began. Due to the fact that his Company was the least combat ready, Memnon and a majority of the Fourth remained to garrison their Homeworld [[Sabatine]], while the bulk of the White Consuls left to defend the [[Cadian Gate]]. Disaster struck when the [[Great Rift]] was created and [[The Blackness]] caused the garrison to lose contact with the wider [[Imperium]]{{Fn|1a}}. This allowed the [[Lords of Silence]] and the [[Weeping Veil]] [[Chaos Warband]]s to successfully invade Sabatine and they easily destroyed the White Consul garrison.{{Fn|1b}}
