Mago
,no edit summary
Mago was a Centurion of the World Eaters 18th Company during the Great Crusade.
Born on Terra, Mago was a veteran of the War Hounds before the coming of Angron. Upon the discovery of Angron, the Legion became began to suffer from his violent influences and worst still enacted decimation upon the World Eaters every time they failed to conquer a world within 31 hours (the length of a standard Nucerian day and the time it took Angron to score his greatest victory during his slave rebellion), forcing 1 of every 10 Astartes to be executed. These actions led Mago to miss the old nobility of the War Hounds, and he vehemently opposed the attempts by Gahlan Surlak to install the Butcher's Nails within the World Eaters.1a
During the Ghenna Massacre, the World Eaters again failed to conquer the world of Ghenna within 31 hours and Angron demanded another round of decimation. However Mago refused to enact the order, which simply caused Angron to order him to murder his longtime comrade Salicar. When Mago again refused, Angron was thrown into a blind fury that massacred several World Eaters until the Legion Librarians subdued him. Mago subsequently plead with Kharn to reverse the direction the Legion was taking, and when that failed he instead gathered his loyalists aboard the Frigate Hound's Tooth and planned to destroy Surlak's equipment before he could perfect the Butcher's Nails for mass production. However the attempt failed, and Kharn became the first World Eater to be successfully installed with the Butcher's Nails.1b
