The war began when [[Dark Eldar]] raiding bands fell upon the [[hive world]] of [[Parshamesh]]. Loosing [[Mandrake]]s
into the depths of the hives, the [[xenos]] spread waves of panic. The Parshameshi [[PDF]] are reduced to virtual paralysis until the
arrival of a strike force of Salamanders. The Salamanders divide into small tactical
groups which accompany the Parshameshi soldiery into the depths, acting as beacons
of unwavering courage around which their allies can rally. Given heart by the
Salamanders’ presence and aided by their combat prowess, the Parshameshi bring their numbers and firepower to bear and drive the nightmarish alien invaders out of their cities, one twisted raiding party at a time.{{Fn|1}}
