As the Knights battled the Dark Eldar, Vargrif and the Mordian Guardsmen protected the Household's stronghold against the [[Xenos]], which led to them foiling a kidnapping attempt against the consort of the 832nd Lord of House Hawkshroud. The Knights and Guardsmen were later victorious over the Dark Eldar and since that day, House Hawkshroud has felt honour-bound to provide aid to any of Vargrif descendants, should they be called upon to do so.{{Fn|1}}
