:Exactly as Inquisitor said. If you sure you may change information in article. The only thing to do - is to indicate the reason for the change (as you described it here) in Summary line. What I do in such cases: 1) if I can explain my change in the Summary line, I write there; 2) if the explanation is too long and does not fit that Summary line, I write a separate note on the Talk page and describe my change there (so - 'I changed these and those because of that').
