The ''Shroud of Eventide'' fought in the [[Thramas Crusade]] against the [[Dark Angels]], aiding [[Konrad Curze]]'s direct attack on the ''[[Invincible Reason]]'' to allow the rest of the fleet to escape.{{Fn|2}} Ophion then took the ship to the [[Nostramo Sector]] in search of reinforcements for the [[Horus|Warmaster]]. During the [[Battle of Kalleth]] in 011.[[M31]], the ''Shroud of Eventide'' again was employed as a shield for the smaller craft in the fleet, resulting in the thruster arrays being severely damaged. Caught in [[Kalleth]]'s gravity well, the ship crashed on an icy plain on the surface.{{Fn|1a}}
