'''Dawn of War''' is an RTS (Real Time Strategy) game which includes four of the races from the [[Warhammer 40000]] universe: The [[Space Marines]], [[Eldar]], [[Chaos Space Marines]] and [[Ork]]s.
The game single player campaign follows a battle on a planet known as Tartarus where a [[Blood Ravens]] force has landed in an attempt to hold back an Ork invasion, giving enough time for the planet to be evacuated. This develops when a number of Chaos items are located and eventually results in a massive conflict being fought over an item of great [[Daemon]]ic power. The games true depth however, is realised in it's multi-player, online guise. Players select their race from the four available, and fight skirmish battles from 1v1 through to 4v4 across a selection of maps. The game was heralded as the greatest Sci-Fi RTS to date and has been selected for inclusion in the 2005 World Cyber Games chapionship.
In September 2005 its first expansion entitled "[[Dawn of War: Winter Assault]]" is due for release and will add the [[Imperial Guard]] to the game.
