Fabius began development of these warriors in his position of [[Apothecary|Chief Apothecary]] of the [[Emperor's Children]] during the [[Horus Heresy]] when [[Horus]] gave him an improved [[gene-seed]] code stolen by the [[Alpha Legion]] from the [[Raven Guard]]. Fabius Bile corrupted received code and created abominations, though his initial experiments were short-lived mutations.{{Fn|4c}}{{Fn|5}} Some of the Enhanced Warriors were made from the [[Iron Hands]], [[Salamanders]], [[World Eaters]], [[Death Guard]], [[Alpha Legion]], [[Word Bearers]], [[Sons of Horus]]{{Fn|4c}} and [[Imperial Fists]].{{Fn|4d}} As of the 41st Millennia, non-Astartes Enhanced Warriors have been observed.{{Fn|6}}
