At the time of the [[Second War for Armageddon]], '''Tu'Shan''' had been [[Chapter Master]] of the [[Salamanders]] for only three years. Since his tenure in this role was so young, taking on the massive wave of [[Ork]]s sent forth by [[Ghazghkull Thraka|Ghazghkull Mag Uruk Thraka]] was a daunting task. Tu'Shan nonetheless followed Lord Commander [[Dante]] into battle and fought with distinction. More than just commanding the Salamanders, Tu'Shan helped rally the disorganized defenders of the planet. In addition, while commanding the [[Fire Drakes (Salamanders)|Fire Drakes]], Tu'Shan defended one of the last bridges of the [[River Stygies]] against a column of 1,000 Ork [[Speed Freeks]], fighting consecutively for three days and four nights. By the end of the campaign, Tu'Shan was so respected that Commander Dante praised him in front of the entire [[Blood Angels]] chapter.{{Cite thisFn|3}} Tu'Shan met [[Commissar]] [[Yarrick]] during the war and they had mutual respect for one another, with the commissar heartily welcoming his forces in the fight against Thraka. Tu'Shan further distinguished himself when he defended Hive Tempestora's water purification plant, ensuring the citizens wouldn't die from dehydration. The hive was eventually captured but the people were able to escape. Tu'shan's own inspiring presence allowed the defenders of the Stygies bridge to hold back the orks so that they couldn't reinforce their other forces. However, that campaign was not without friction as Tu'Shan reprimanded and came to blows with Captain Vinyard of the [[Marines Malevolent]] after his company shelled a refugee camp that was being attacked by orks.{{Fn|3}} Since that campaign, Chapter Master Tu'Shan has continued to lead the Salamanders honorably.
