The '''99th Elysian Drop Troops Regiment''' were heavily engaged on the eastern fringe against [[Hive Fleet Kraken]]. After many years of continuous engagement against the [[Tyranids]] the regiment was on its last reserves of manpower. The survivors, ammounting amounting to not much more than a reinforced company, were reorganised into a single detachment under the command of the senior surviving officer, D companies' Major [[Durra]]. The detachment was then seconded to the [[Inquisition]], in service to [[Inquisitor Lord]] [[Varius]] of the [[Ordo Xenos]]. Varius included the detachment with the forces given to [[Inquisitor]] [[Soloman Lok]] to investigate the apparent silence of the research facility on [[Beta Anphelion IV]]
