One of the primary worlds of [[Ultramar]], it was led by one of the four [[Tetrarch of Ultramar|Tetrarchs]]. At the start of the Heresy, the position was occupied by [[Tauro Nicodemus]]. Its status following the Heresy is unknown, but ten thousand years later in [[M42]] the reborn [[Primarch]] [[Roboute Guilliman]] stated that Saramanth had been devastated long ago.{{Fn|2}}
