It was defended by the [[Sisters of Battle]] and the [[23rd Paradycian Peltasts]], one of the world's own [[Regiment]]s, but they all became stricken by the Nexus' phenomenon known as the [[Stilling]]. While the Sisters' [[Imperial Cult|faith]] held the Stilling at bay, the [[Guardsmen]] and citizens of Paradyce VI became lethargic, which reduced the fighting capabilities of the 23rd. This greatly aided the Necron and the [[Xenos]] were able to kill the Sisters and most of the Regiment.
