Background
The Knights of the Raven have a mysterious background, with only a scant few details known about them within the ranks of the Adeptus Astartes, Deathwatch, and the Inquisition2. When they do fight alongside other Imperial forces, the Chapter communicates only when necessary and use their own cryptic battle tongue amongst themselves11. Due only to the coincidence of similar iconography and title, the Knights of the Raven are assumed to be a chapter founded during a Later Founding using Raven Guard gene-stock in the latter half of M38247. In M42 Chapter Master Shrike referred to the Knights of the Raven, as the Brothers of the Raven Guard.12b

Notable Engagements
Notable Members
*Mordren - Captain. Assigned by Chapter Master Kayvaan Shrike of the Raven Guard, along with three members of that chapter (Shadow Captains Qeld and Illith and Sergeant Artarix) to a mission to assassinate the Alpha Legion warlord Mazik1212a. Notably, like the other three Marines assigned to this task, Mordren was capable of Shadow Walking, lending further evidence that the Knights of the Raven are indeed a Raven Guard Successor Chapter.
