The ''Tribune'' was constructed in [[Inwit]]'s orbital shipyards when the world built 10 [[Battle Barge]]s for the [[Emperor]] in honor of [[Rogal Dorn]] taking command of the [[Imperial Fists]].{{Fn|1a}}
It served as the flagship of the [[Imperial Fists]]'s 3rd [[Expeditionary Fleet]], during the [[Great Crusade]] and was where the [[Primarch]] [[Dorn]], commanded his forces in the [[War of the Consus Drift]]{{Fn|2}}. When the [[Horus Heresy]] began, the Tribune was part of the Imperial Fists' '''Retribution Fleet''' sent to confront the traitorous [[Warmaster]] [[Horus]]. However, severe [[Warp Storms]] damaged the Fleet and cast it out into the [[Phall System]]. The [[Iron Warriors]] [[Space Marine Legion|Legion]], which had sided with Horus, soon attacked and the Tribune served as the flagship of [[Space Marine Captain|Fleetmaster]] [[Alexis Polux]], as the [[Battle of the Phall System]] began.
