The regiments' name has been given two different spellings; in the novel [[First and Only (Novel)|First and Only]] it is given as '''Lattarii Gundogs'''{{Fn|1a}}, but in the later novel [[Ghostmaker (Novel)|Ghostmaker]] the text spells their name as the '''Latarii Gundogs'''.{{Fn|22a}} In addition, another chapter in Ghostmaker refers to the '''Lakkarii Gundogs''' as a regiment that took part in the assault on [[Caligula]]. It is unknown if this is the same regiment under a third spelling.{{Fn|2b}}
