Some were ordered to lace tracts of the forest with booby tramps, go on search-and-destroy missions to wipe out outlying Ork encampments or intercept the [[Xenos]]' own Kill Teams. Many were also sent on suicide missions to distract the Orks with fuel dump sabotages, midnight camp razings and flank charges to buy time for the main Imperial armies to build defenses or secure more ground.
