==Background==
The Grey Slayers became corrupted by Chaos, as a result of which [[Inquisitor]] [[Thrax]] purged the Chapter of [[mutant]]s and [[daemon]]s, and the [[Chapter Master]] took his own life.
The chapter was reformed, but the purge was apparently not quite thorough enough, as Inquisitor Thrax himself was soon afterwards corrupted and turned into some sort of daemonic beast.{{Fn|1}}
==See AlsoNotes==An Inquisitor Thrax is mentioned in [[Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine]] as responsible for quarantining [[Graia]] after the [[Graia Invasion]] and apprehending [[Captain Titus| Titus (Captain)]] for suspected heresy. Despite their similar names, there is no evidence linking this character with the other Inquisitor who appears in Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine.
